ANY RELATIVES of ANNIE BAKER born early 1900's - PLYMOUTH DEVON my maternal Granmother was called Beatrice Annie Baker, she was born in Plymouth in May 1923. She was known as Betty or Bett. She never knew her real mother as she was sent to live with Beatrice Minnie Efford when she was born. She knows that her mother was called "Annie Baker" (it says in my Grandmothers birth certificate that Annie Baker was a domestic- we are not sure if this was in a hospital or in a Doctors house). She was told that her father was a Doctor. Her father paid for her keep until she was 14, we think, via St.Michael's church in Devonport Plymouth. It is possible that any descendants of Annie Baker do not know my Grandmother existed. She sadly died in December 1999. She always wanted to find her real mother and father and any siblings. My Grandmother was 5'5" with dark hair and very dark eyes, she was very elegant. She was a very big influence on all our family. If anyone thinks she may be a relation, please get in contact. Thank-you |
