Hi there, I have a marriage between Jonus Roberts & Susan Palfrey that took place in the last quarter of 1841 in Taunton ref 10 648. I cannot find anything on the censuses about them,untill 1881 when Jonus was an inmate at the Poor Law Union Workhouse in Taunton aged 70 his occupation is listed as Smith ,the same as the 1841 census so I am sure this is the same person. would appreciate it if anyone could help me on this . Hi all, thanks for your replies they have come in thick & fast. Jonus has been found on the 1861 aged 44 Widow. Blacksmith born 1817 in Taunton and living in Wells Somerset , allso a death for a Susan Roberts March 1842 in Bath. once again thank you all Trevor

Trevor unless you buy the marriage certificate confirming who he married then you could be following the wrong family, there are too many possibles with census & death info to be sure who his wife was without the certificate. Georgina.
