there is no match in Aston. what makes you think he was there?

Nicola

Nicola Report 14 Jan 2006 22:23

he was in 1851 and from 1871 to 1891 , i have addresses but he did appear to have achange of occupation from a pearl button maker in 1851 to a fruiterer in 1871 , so he could have moved away and back again. i think his first child was born in about 1862 , she was born in birmingham.. thanks nicola

Nicola, I doubt that Edward would be married to Sarah in 1861 as she would have only been about 11yrs at that time! I have checked the image in 1871 and it clearly reads she is 21yrs. It looks like Sarah is his second wife! ******************************************************* Nicola Sarah from 1881 census would have been about 15yrs in 1861, unless she as lied about her age when she married Edward. It does look like there could be more than one marriage involved.

i also think sarah might be his second wife , but i also seen her birth date recorded as 1846 - this was on 1881 census and is shown as being born in the potteries ,

My guess is he married Sarah c1845 between 1871 and 1881. ********************************************** Nicola I cannot find Edward's first or possible third marriage ref, they've more than likely not been transcribed just yet! Good luck with your further searches. Lib:))

My great grandfather, Edward Turner born 1839, Census 1861, was living with his first wife Harriet, Emily (Emma) and brother John Turner. Harriet died in 1866. He married Sarah Jones in 1868,
