Yes please! Its a Pharo mystery. George Pharo, was born 1849 to Ambrose Pharo, born 1816. So far no probs. But on his marriage certificate, (marriage to Emma Luff) he records his father as William Pharo. Can you please check the accuracy of the info and perhaps help add any peices to the puzzle? Colette

Hi Tracy, Again many thanks for your detective work. It really is a mystery about the marriage, I´m sure they did marry at some stage but like you say most likely after 1920. I think that the F after Frederick and Catherine stands for Ferris, as at the time of their birth their parents weren´t married. My grandfather Frederick Aldridge was in the Navy during WW1 and on his papers it says first Mrs Eleanor Ferris as friend, before being crossed through and wife added. Hopefully one day I will find the answer. You have been really great, thanks for all the look ups. Jane in now a pitch black Sweden

Hi Tracy, Hope you don´t think I´m taking advantage of your detective work, but I have a few more queries if that is ok? After you found my granmothers marriage and children It got me thinking about my other grandmother, as they were both remarried and had I think at least one child before the second marriage. Eleanor Ann Absolom b 1884 Reading married 1st Thomas Ackrill Ferris - 1907 Reading children - Charles Richard Herbert Ferris - date of birth? Phoebe Mary Florence Ferris - 28.1.1908 This marriage ended and she later married Frederick Aldridge b Reading 24.3.1881 I think you may have looked for the wedding date before, it would have been during WW1. Their first child was Frederick (Ferris) Aldridge? born 1914 I think he was born before they married as he is listed as Frederick Ferris Aldridge on his death cert. The second child was Catherine b 8.6.1917 Reading - was she an Aldridge or a Ferris? Sorry for taking up so much of your time, but you are a great detective! Thanks again Jane in Sweden
