Hi Jackie Thanks for coming back to me - The Ward family were in Nelson Street West, Birmingham in 1861. They gave their address when married as Great Bridge and it seems that their first child Sarah Ann born approx 1852/53 was born in West Bromwich. Is that any use. Thanks again Jan

Annette Report 6 Aug 2005 00:51

Jacqueline, Thanks for the offer... please could you look for a STOKES family, probably West Bromwich area: Father George Stokes born abt 1813 Mother Harriet Stokes Son: Thomas Stokes born abt 1840, West Bromwich Probably other children but don't know any other names, hope this is enough info, Regards, Annette

JALimestonePlains Report 2 Aug 2005 11:53

jacqui As for George Kendrick, I do not have anything yet so sorry about your wild goose chase. Only that hte family were Uttoxeter born and bred. Regards and thanks again JA

JALimestonePlains Report 2 Aug 2005 11:50

Jacqui Re Charles Allen, thank you. He had a 13 year old son in 1881 which means he could have been born c 1868. Caharles senior was 37 in 1881 so would have been 17 in 1861. Does it say what he was apprenticed in? it says on Frederick's birth certificate that he was a chemist and druggest (master) which indicates he was an apprentice at some time. The famil has no idea of wher he might have trained. Thanks for your help JA
