Kaye Report 2 Aug 2005 22:01

Hi Dawn Can you see if you can find a marriage for me that I'm stuck on? I have a William Levenie (also transcribed as Leveney, Leveny and Levny) c.24/08/1792 at Boyndie, Banff who married Jane Lovie also of Boyndie, Banff. I think their first child was Jane Levenie b.1815 at Whitehills, Boyndie, which is where I'm expecting them to have married. Their parent's were James Levenie and Elizabeth Adamson and John Lovie and Jane or Jean Watson. Any info on these would be extremely grateful. Thank you Kaye

Hi Dawn Could you help me with my Kerrs again? William Kerr married Elizabeth Rutherford and had Thomas, Margaret, William Jessie, Eleanor and Elizabeth 1839-1852, but I can't find any record of Thomas, William or Jessie (my GGGM). They were born in Swinton, Berwick. Also the children of Thomas Rutherford and Margaret Kerr in Berwick abt 1798-1817. And the children of John Kerr & Ann Nisbet around 1775 in Berwick. Your help is much appreciated, April

David

David Report 2 Aug 2005 05:48

Hi Dawn, could you please look up the children of David Sheriffs and Elizabeth Jamieson? They were married 11/10/1828 Inverkeillor Angus, 17/10/1828 St Vigeans Angus. Are these Banns? The LDS site only gives one child to Elizabeth, Helen, but shows the father as Robert Sheriffs. David has a half-brother Robert? The 1841 census has a David and Elizabeth Sheriffs of the right ages at St Vigeans with children David, Hellen and Mary. I was wondering if there are any more children. Kind regards, David

Thanks for the lookup Dawn - it's been most helpful. I only had 5 out of the 9. Some of the Kerrs were on IGI & SP but not my direct ancestor William Kerr, so it's good to have a date for him. April

Hi Dawn , Thank-you so much for all your help. Your a real gem . I think It could be the one that was born in Kilrenny, Fife . Because she did name their second daughter Mary . Which would follow naming patterns. I forgot that in 1851 census it said that a Margaret Brown sister in law, 13, Flax spinner, Kinghorn, Fife Did they have a daughter named Margaret .Sorry I should of mentioned it before . What do you think, could it be a match ? I'm just new a this . Best wishes Donna
