I am totally wrong should have read 1854 and 1830 after more research - 1830 Peter declared Peter (dad) as deceased on a marriage certificate.

Cheers for that info - I confirmed Peter junior married alice Bithel. Alice Bullough (Peter's sister) married John Molyneux. Explains why Peter was there. So the hard bit will be Peter senior's history - I only have the 1954 mention to suggest Peter as father.
Have not found a 1830 birth for junior to look for confirmation. Thankyou Kath and Mel for your help.

According to IGI Peter Bullough (aged 24)married Alice Bitchell(aged 21) on 1 April 1854. Also on 1841 census Chew M oor, Dean, Bolton there is

Could this be Peter juniors father and Peter has been apprenticed out??

Looks like Peter senior died 1853 Wigan. Ordering the death certificate would help you with his age, informant etc..

the fact that a Peter of the right age in the deaths on lancs bmd (1853 = age 2) and that there appears to be no more children after Alice suggested that Peter senior died between 1833 and 1837 (but not buried at All Saints Wigan)
