Hi Pam The census has to be read in Adobe acrobat & it's not transcribed you have to scroll through scans of the original images, there's no way of typing in a search criteria, it's a real pain to be honest. I've got tomorrow morning free'ish so I'll start scrolling for you then & see how I get on. Watch this space!!!! Nikki

Nikki, I'm afraid I'm not sure where abouts in Bedminster as 1871 simply says 'Bedminster'. It doesn't appear to be until the later census that an address actually starts to appear. Excuse me if i'm being dim (and I usually am) but I don't really understand what 'indexed' means but if you do Ctrl and F cant you just put in william Crew and that will go directly to his name? As I said, i'm sorry if i'm being daft. If you can't find him easily don't worry about it. Many thanks for your time. Pam

Hi Nikki, Thanks for the offer! Could you kindly look for my WARD family living in Walcot, Bath. In 1851 they are living at 95 Snow Hill, Walcot and in 1871 thay are further up the road at 4 Snow Hill. They are Thomas P Ward b.1803, wife Rachel b.1800 and hopefully at least four daughters as well, Elizabeth, Hannah, Rachel and Mary. Many Thanks, Pippa

Nicki, Does this include Bedminster in Bristol. It sometimes appears on Somerset and sometimes appears on Gloucestershire? If Bedminster is there would you kindly see if you can find the following: William CREW born 1855 therefore approx 7. He would be living with his parents, his father being James. (There were 2 william CREWS born around the same time and they are cousins the other Williams father was Moses. Anything on either of these would be much appreciated as 1861 seems to be very difficult to get hold of. Pam (PS, I hve the 1851 Somerset if you would like anything from there)
