Hi Deborah. I'm not sure if you can help me but here goes anyway. Trying to find JESSIE LEGASSICK. According to 1881 census she was born 1863 PLYMOUTH. When i sent to Plymouth for her birth cert they said they have no record. She married JOHN PRYCE 4-5-1885 age 26 (puts her birth at c1859) at Cardiff registry office and on that cert she is Legassie.(apparently original hard to read). Her father is named as Edward. I cannot confirm parents until i find birth cert. Hoping you can help. Regards ALYSON

Alan Report 8 Feb 2005 17:58

Debs, you might be able to help my wife too. She's looking for Peter (born 1815) and Philippa Reddecliffe (born 1821). In 1871 they were in Whitchurch, but the eldest two children were born in Plymouth. Can you try to fin them in Plymouth for me? The info we have is Plymouth St, Devon. Also just Plymouth. Tx Alan

Deborah Could you look for a Marriage between Joseph Eveson (born London 6/10/1824) and Eliza Elizabeth Beale (Born in Bath) - I was lucky with the maiden name, her mum was staying with them on census day! I just can't find the marriage anywhere. Thanks Alan

Thanks for trying Debs. I've just discovered that there is a Terrington in North Yorks. so I'm going to try there as his wife was born in N. Yorks and they lived there. Every census after 1881 says Norfolk. Joan.
