Thanks Jools and Carol I’ve just started to try and find this family using the census. It’s not easy as they all seem to go into service as soon as possible. I’m grateful for your help as I would really like to try and sort this out !! I still have a daughter missing on 1881 Elizabeth b. 1873 presumably in service somewhere !! Mary, Elizabeth and Catherine all need to found in 1891 but they could also be anywhere !! I don’t know where to start with 1901 ( thought I’d try to sort out the other years first. I do know where Martha is as she is my great-grandma and I know William died in 1899.) So if you fancy trying to help sort out this puzzle - I’d be gratefull for any help. Many Thanks Esta x Ps - Carol I will send you an email as I’d like the image please.

By 1901, William and Maranda (same spelling as 1891 census) are still in Tingewick, in Straftord Lane, but all the children have left home.

No luck on the 1871 census (Bucks isn't on Ancestry), but this is the family in 1891:- William 50, Maranda (sic) 44, Martha 9, William J 5. The address looks like St Kiley's Lane. I have saved the image if you'd like it, and will look on 1901 for you.
