Hi I am doing some research for a Friend and would appreciate any help that anyone may be able to offer. I am trying to trace any information on a Christina Magee. All I know about this lady is that she gave her name as Christina Tracey a married women when she gave birth to a child on 19 Jan 1945 at Babington House Belper Derbyshire. the childs name Valerie Ann Tracey and was adopted in the same year becoming known as Valerie Ann Billett. Christina Tracey formerly Magee was a Joinery works painter of 12 Breedon Avenue, Stenson Road, Shardlow, Derbyshire. I cannot find a birth registration for Christina Magee in any of the GRO indexes or a marriage for anyone named Magee to anyone named Tracey in the GRO indexes, between 1900 and 1946. In a personal letter dated 1947 Christina Tracey is living at an address in Surrey. 'The Little House', 8 Rose Walk, Purley, Surrey, and signs herself as 'Mrs C Tracey'.
