Hi, Looking for Charles (Samuel) Taylor, born circa 1878. Not sure where. He married Margaret Ann Gray in 1904 in York. At the time he was resident in Copmanthorpe and she in Naburn. Their first born was a son, Charles Richard Taylor in 1905, followed by several other children, Eva, Elsie, Edith, Dorothy, Annie, Malcolm, Ernest and Norman, not particularly in that order. The Gray family had something to do with working on the Locks or the Ouse in Naburn around the turn of the century (1900). I have tried to hard to find his birth registration but think I am up against a stone and a hard place. However, I have had a stroke of luck in finding the baptism of Charles Samuel Taylor in Carlton, Cambs. I think its the right one. Hope someone out there can help. |
