Hi Brian, my mothers family name Mitchell... On her side a Valentine Mitchell born Dunedin New Zealand in 1888. He married Isabell Dougall born Grangemouth, Stirling, Scotland. They had 4 childrean - Hector, Jane, Alice and Isabella. My family is a decendent of hector Mitchell...my mothers father.

I dont know if there is any relation.
