Hi I know Ive put this on before but some one out there must know some thing about John Martin{my Grand Father} Born 5th May 1865 Boddy's Bridge Christ Church Surrey. F/John Martin M/ Sarah Kellers.Ps' Both parents were Blind.John Signed up with the Royal Artillery on the 5th Feb 1886 at Colchester, aged 20yrs and 8 months his number was {53214{Martin} John} he added his mother as Sarah Bolding{as she was then, and he also put that he had a wife {Sarah, living at 215 Victoria Dock Road London.which turns out to be the address that his Sister {Caroline Haines and her family lived at.he did a tour of India/Africa.and was discharged from the army round about Feb/Mar1901 and on /the 20th may 1901 he had married Harriet Dwyer my Granma, and he was by then 36yrs old and says he was a widower, so if he did marry this Sarah??it had to have been around 1883/4 or after ?and she must have died some time up to 1901??but try as i may I cant find a marriage or a death for her,it doesnt help not knowing her maiden name either!!. so if you reconise any of this please contact me through the boards.thank you for being patient with me ......Jean

Dear Jean,
My great aunt, Janet Langham nee Baxter, married William Alfred Haines in West Ham in l907. He was a beer house keeper at The Boiler Makers Arms, in Victoria Dock Road. He was 53 year old, the son of William Haines. He was a widower, his first wife was Louisa. If you would like any census look ups in the West Ham area, please let me know.
I wondered if you might have a connection please.
Kind regards, Liz

HI, I am researching another side of the Kellers family line that entered England around the early 1800's. What I am trying to determine, is if there is any relation to my line of Kellers as I am a close decendant of the Kellers line.
