Member Since: May 2007 Posts: 27 Send Message	Hi Susan, Anne Dinwoodie b.1784 d.1847 Parent only listed as mr.Dinwoodie & Jane Burgiss. Can find nothing for a Jane Burgess but there are 2 Jean Burgiss b.1751 Hoddam Dumfries & b.1764 Holywood Dumfries.

Member Since: May 2005 Posts: 0 Send Message	My ancestor, James Bell was born I think in Wamphray, Dumfries. I can find no birth record, but have seen his death record and he appears on several census records. My only clues as to his date of birth are that he would have been born after 01/08/1817 and before 310/05/1818 - I worked this out using dates of birth of siblings. His parents were James Bell (born c1780 and Anne Dinwoodie c1784). Any further information on these would also be greatly appreciated. email: [email protected]
