Trying to find more info on my grandfather?

I have found this much so far and i am at a stumbling block.

His full name is John Williamson Scott and he married Mary Monan Kirkbride from Maryport.

I do know that he worked in the shipyards at Barrow.

1901 Census for Netherall Cumberland all living at 91 King Street Neterall Maryport Cumberland.

Martha Scott 1860 Maryport Cumberland Married 41 Head

John Scott 1883 Maryport Cumberland Son 18 Iron Rivetter Apprentice

Joseph Scott 1885 Maryport Cumberland Son 16 Coalminer

George Scott 1893 Maryport Cumberland Son 8

Have tried to look for earlier entries but cant find anything
