Hi Donna,
A William Battersby Wright was born in quarter ending June 1889 and the birth was registered at Worksop, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, West Riding. Reference 7b 48. Note that on the official birth records the name Battersby was spelled without the S after the R, - Batterby. Best wishes, Fred Wright.

I am looking for a William Battersby Wright 1889. I believe he served in the WW1 1914-1920. I am led to believe he worked at the Workhouse in Southwell Nottinghamshire, when he was a child. William also had a sister who worked and lived there too. (Lily Wright). I would be much appreciated if anyone could help with any info. Thank you Donna
