Looking for the death of William Clark(e) born 10 Apr. 1855, Dalry Ayrshire. He may have gone to either Canada or USA, after the birth of daughter, Mary Bryden Clark, in 1883. He was my paternal gt. grandfather, I found him on the 1881 census for Dalmellington, Ayrshire. At that time, 2 children were at home, Janet McAlmont Clark and John Bryden Clark ( my grandfather). Eldest daughter Sarah McMurdo Clark was living next door, with her grandmother, Sarah (McMurdo) Bryden. Their mother's name was Jane Anderson Bryden. Jane was born 28 Aug 1857, Dalmellington, and William and Jane married on 05 February 1875 in Dalmellington. William, supposedly, never from Canada or Scotland, according to family story. |
