James Sims Davies, S. Wales. born c.1890. Married Charlotte Cox. They had 2 sons born in Cardiff, Edward Stephen b.1919 (my father), John Wetherly b.1923. They divorced by 1931. I would like to find out who James' parents were, my father thinks they were hill farmers near Cardiff. I would also like to know if James remarried & had another family. Rose Simons,nee Davies.

Hi Brenda, sorry I've taken so long to reply. I am new to this & thought the site would flag up any response to my request, I have only just found your message.
All I know about James, I have discovered his father's name was Edward Davies, a farmer. 23/8/1916 was when James married Charlotte. At the time of the marriage James lived at 15 Court St. Maesteg. His witness was a Thomas Davies but I don't know what his relationship was with James.
For some time, until they split up around 1925, James & Charlotte lived in Wandsworth, London. Both their sons were born in Cardiff, where Charlotte's parents lived & then, I believe, she returned to London each time. When Charlotte wanted a divorce a private detective traced James to Glasgow, that is the last place he was heard of.
I'm afraid I have no idea if James had a brother called Oliver Henry. It would be amazing if he did & we can link them. If there is no connection good luck with your search. Rose.
