In the 1901 census there were only 2 John Wrights in Warwick born 1852-1872.

This one was unmarried (and there were no John Wrights who married in Warwick between April 1901 and the birth of that George Wilfred Wright):

Name: John Wright
Age: 32
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1869
Relation: Boarder
Gender: Male
Where born: New Brighton, Warwickshire, England
Civil Parish: Warwick St Mary
Ecclesiastical parish: Warwick St Mary
Town: Warwick
County/Island: Warwickshire

And this one was married with kids:

Name: John Wright
Age: 32
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1869
Relation: Head
Spouse's Name: Emma L
Gender: Male
Where born: Warwick, Warwickshire, England
Civil Parish: Warwick St Nicholas
Ecclesiastical parish: Warwick St Nicholas
Town: Warwick
County/Island: Warwickshire
Country: England
Registration district: Warwick
Sub-registration district: Warwick
ED, institution, or vessel: 11
Household schedule number: 102

Household Members: Name Age
Ada E Wright 8
Emma L Wright 33
Hilda K Wright 10
John Wright 32
John H Wright 5

It's probably a good bet that the second one was your John Wright, but you need the birth certificate before you settle on him.

The eldest child in that household, Hilda, was born in Warwick about 1891 (she was probably Hilda Kathleen Wright born Q4 1890).

We have this John Wright marriage in Warwick:

Name: John Wright
Year of Registration: 1889
Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
District: Warwick (To 1932)
County: Warwickshire
Volume: 6d
Page: 1058

with one of the brides on the page being Emma Louisa Wilkins, so that's a possibility. See what the birth cert says!

This is the only one in the GRO index who matches your specifications:

Name: George Wilfred Wright
Year of Registration: 1902
Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep
District: Warwick (To 1932)
County: Warwickshire
Volume: 6d
Page: 680

So now you order up the birth certificate and find out his mother's name!

This was easy -- all you needed to do was go to

www.freebmd.org.uk

click search, and then select births and type in the name and year.

Unless you've done that, and he isn't the right George Wilfred Wright ...

Do you know his father's name? -- oops, edit, I'm stupid, it was in your post.

Have you got the marriage certificate, or is that next, to get George's parents' fathers' names? -- so you don't have it, but with the mother's name you should be able to find their marriage / find them in the 1901.
