can anybody help me my g.grandad was james franks he married my g. gran mary elizabeth trenholm they married in stockton in 1904. and had 4 children ethal isabella john thomas and laura.
i have james's marrage certificate and it says on there he was 40 years of age. but i have learnt from past experiances this can be wrong.
it stats his father was called richard and marys was john thomas and the witness's were called bella and john thomas trenholm. if anybody can help it would be much appricated as i have come to a stop on the franks side of my tree.

If he was 40 in 1904, you should be able to find him on the 1881 census, which is free on both Ancestry and the LDS site.

yes james was a bachelor when he married and his occupation was a moulders labourer.
i did find the 1901 were it said he was a border but could not get any were else
