I will explain why I am looking. Bathsheba Eva had a son. She never married. Her son was called John Mitchell b.1860 who married Ellen Rabey. He was brought up by John Mitchell 1818 and Christiana Hore 1818 as Grandson. Sometimes Bathshebas parents John Eva and Peggy looked after him. Bathsheba was working most of the time elsewhere as carer.

He mainly grew up with the Mitchell family. If I go back I stem from the grandson. I will never know which son got Bathsheba Pregnant, John, William or Joseph. I have all the details of every son except John Mitchell b1840. He could of been the father. Just want to know what happened to him.

We have found Bathsheba Eva's Grave and Grandson John Mitchell 1860 and Grandparents.

Hope this is not sounding confusing.

I have all information on all of his family after. Parents, sisters and brothers. Nothing on him.

I am just trying to find out any information after he is 10yrs. Where did he go, where did he die, what age did he die. Did he marry? Anything. Did he stay in Cornwall or go to USA. John Mitchell 1840 born Penstraze Kenwyn Cornwall.

What are you asking?

As we can't find John after 1851, when he was 10 and still at school, we don't know what his occupation might have been later in life.

It is so difficult as there are so many John Mitchells. I have even searched in Silverbow, Butte Montana and Nevada where the other two children are buried, Joseph and Elizabeth.

William Henry, Thomas, Jane and parents are buried in Cornwall. Still can't find John.

So sorry I have only his details when he is Scholar at 10yrs old in 1851. Somewhere between 1851-1861, can't find him or even later nothing.

John Mitchell 4th October, 1840. Born Kenwyn, Cornwall. Farm called Penstraze.

Lived with Farming family. Parents John Mitchell and Christiana Hore.

They had other children, William Henry, Jane, Thomas. Elizabeth Ann & Joseph C went later to The States. I have all their details but not John.

Can anyone help?.

There are quite a number of emigration records for men named John Michell or Mitchell.

It's not impossible that one of them might be your John - but several give not enough detail to prove one way or the other.

Any record of a marriage?

You describe him as a farmer - presumably, therefore, you have info about him as an adult

When did the parents die? Did the son register either of their deaths?

When do you last have sight of him and where - did he marry do you know? It always helps for you to post as much info as possible, especially to place him.
