Hi,
Still no trace of my Frank Wilson born 28/7/1888 to Thomas Wilson (1845) and Ellen Ringrose (1847).
He had Alioce,Annie,Nellie and Arthur as siblings.
I have trawled through marriages etc but with a name Wilson he could have got married anywhere. Found 3 marriages for Sculcoates / Hull
9d320 1908
9d544 (Watson) june 1918
9d377 (Sarah J Wilson) sep 1918

If he fought in the wars is there anyway I can follow down that road?

I hate giving up, it seems the male side of my mum's tree do not want to be found.
Help please!

You could order one of the marriage certificates and ask that they check the fathers name is Thomas. You could look on the Natioanl Archives website or Ancestry to see if there are any WWI records for him.

Who is he, is he your grandfather or something? If you know of any children he had, looking up their birth registrations will tell you their mother's maiden name and therefore the surname of the person he married.

Hi,
He was my mums uncle and all the info I have is his date of birth and from the 1891 and 1901 census.I do have his parents marriage certificate but unfortunately no relatives to ask any details from. He was apparently a bit of a mystery but I shall certainly follow the WWI records
Many thanks one and all

Hi, Frank Wilson was my Grandad. His older brother Arthur married a Sarah Jane Hanley in 1910. They have one child that I can find born 1910 called Betsy I cannot confirm if they had any more children. I know Arthur died young in his early thirties, I believe c 1915. Sarah Jane Wilson (my namesake) then went on to wed his brother Frank Wilson in 1918. My father William Frank Wilson was born on 7/12/1920. there were other siblings that I recall being Arthur, Dennis, Norman, there may have been some more and I dont know as yet which brother fathered which but I am working on it. Sarah died in 1933 aged 48. I was named after her. As far as I know he did not fight in WW2 but I think he was a seaman. They were all raised on Hessle road.

Hi

I'm searching for anyone who knew Jean, last heard of in Warrington Lancs. in the mid 40's.
She may have connections with London and Birmingham.
Her father was Thomas, a builder's manager address unknown.
Ring any bells?
Regards
Lin
