Hello Heather, I am mainly interested in the Povey side. Lucy was my great great aunt and am trying to find any living relatives. May thanks for your reply though

Have you checked ancestry for war pensions/records? You can take a 14 day free trial with ancestry (although how anyone manages with a full sub I dont know!)

On the marriage cert does it give Johns regiment? With a name like that you need to narrow down the options.

I am trying to find information regarding a John Thomas Davies c1892 son of John Davies. Occupation - Corporal who married a Lucy Hannah Povey on 8th January 1916 at the Parish Church, Holt, near Wrexham, Denbighshire. Any further information would be gratefully received.
