You can't get birth certificates (or marriage/death ones for that matter) before 1837 when civil registration began. You now have to check parish records, some are on the IGI at www.familysearch.org but failing that, it's time to start visting or contacting Records Offices! |

Hi Claire, my husband is a wood and all we know is that his grandad was called Edward Horace Wood and he married Mary Ellis and they had 3 children. don't know if they are related but anything would be grateful. |
