Hi, just wondering if anyone out there has some ancestors in common -

Ive only recently begun looking at this side of the family so I only have info going back to a Charles Wright in 1855. Thanks to census info. Unfortunately hes 16 and working as a farm labourer in the 1871, which means Im unable to see who his parents are. Ive looked on the 1861 census to find him living with his grandparents - Mary (b1801) & Thomas Wright (b1800). Also living in the house is -

-Ann - Daughter - 1834 - Swineshead, Lincs
-Charles c1854 - Grandson - Swineshead Lincs (Same Charles as mentioned above)
-Elizabeth c1858 - Grand daughter - Swineshead
-George 1852 - Grandson - Swineshead
-George 1860 - Grandson - Swineshead
-Hannah 1836 - Daughter - Swineshead

In the 1871 census -

-Thomas - 1800 - Head - Swineshead
-Mary Wright - 1802 - Swineshead - Wife
-Hannah Wright - b1839 -(3 years different from what she said on the 61 census) - Daughter - Swineshead
-Thomas 1859 - "Son of the above" (Hannah)

So Im unsure who Charles Wright's (1855) parents were, it could have possibly been Hannah, Ann or George b 1826 (appears in an earlier census) or even Taylor (1830) also appears in an earlier census). It seems Hannah didn't get married but had two illegitimate children - Thomas (mentioned above) and also Richard. Both of which retain the 'Wright' name.

If you think you could have a connection to any of the above, please reply bellow or send me a message! Thanks!

The only way is to buy his birth certificate, now swineshead {which I had to look up because you didnt say LINCS} probably wont be on the certificate, as it will be the nearest registery office to swineshead. Order a copy From GRO this should give parents names
His marriage certificate may only give fathers name , sometimes just father deceased
