I have a Catherine Carter in my tree and I am trying to find out more about her. She was born abt 1831 in County Clare, Ireland. In 1847 she married John Budd in Limerick. John is in the army and Catherine appears to travel with him. John Died in Peshawar, India and Catherine marries Michael Douglas in 1858 in Peshawar, India. I would love to find out who her parents were.

Hi Anne

Do you have a marriage certificate for 1847? If you can track that down you can find her father's name and then track down his marriage certificate to get her mother's name.
