had ancestor ---a servant- who was given land in roberton 1785
the family name i have who gave her this land is adam scott-son- 1760c who was thanking beatrix for something good she had done for him!
i believe there was a cottage on that land for her to live in..the cottage grew into a house called scaurnook and then scaurend-
i am not 100% sure her name was scott as i believe thru rumour she was allowed to use that name, the property went on thru my family until 1942.i have started my tree and most of it is on the borders - hawick-selkirk
