I do not know much about my grandfathers family. He was born in Rochdale, Lancashire march 16 1920. His parents were named William Turner and Sarah ball, according to grandpa's birth certificate they were married. He was also named William, as far as we know (as he would not speak of his family at all) he ran away from home when in his early teens. He had no contact that we know of since, so hense I do not have any other information. His dad William was something to do with the mills, his family owned one we think. They were scottish, the Turners, the Balls were irish. Other then what I tell you I have know idea what is what, I wish I did.

Hi Nicola,
When seeking information about ancestors, this Trying to Find board is the best one to post on.

Genes Reunited terms dictate that you should only post a look-up request on ONE board, so I suggest you delete those duplicated on the other boards. Select 'Delete' from the lower left hand corner of your posting.

The helpers here are very good but they don't like it when their time is wasted because another helper has already found the result and posted it on another board.
