I'm looking for information of the Turner family of Beighton mainly Emily b.1885 m. a Lancs cotten worker 4 children John Joseph b. 1893? m. 1922 to Edith Ann Belk Annie b.1887 d.1967/8 Nellie or Ellen b.1892 d.1967/8 (or Martha) Harold D. b.1896 d.1940 Mabel b.1902/3? d. 1996? Until married would have lived at 4 Eckington Rd Beighton. Emily moved away, John stayed Beighton poss. in Orchard Lane. The family had also lived at 172 Armstead Rd Beighton Both John Joseph and his father also John were builders eventually owning a building firm in Beighton. Nellie went to Wales as a nurse then returned home on retirement. Emily poss moved to manchester her 4 chilren were Lawrence, Joe, Norah & Winnie. There was also 6 half bros and sis to their mother living with them at marriage ranging from 0 to 17yrs. With the surname of Staniforth and Armstrong. These I presume left home. Parents were John Turner b.1861 and Emily Staniforth? b.1864. Any information on these I'd be grateful. Thanks |
