We have Preston Turners in our tree, namely, ada,ethel,elizabeth(lily), john, married into Aspden, Maud, Young family.

My wife's grandfather was RICHARD Turner, b. 1872.,in Preston. His father was Henry, a cooper by trade. I have found a Henry Turner aged 2 mths in 1841 census, Father Robert 20 yrs and mother Margery 21 yrs living in Moss Rose Street. I have not linked this information to RICHARD.

Hi

I have Turners in Preston. My Grandfather was Richard Turner born in Burscough but moved back to Preston His parents were Thomas Turner & Margaret Lee/Lea. Richard was born about 1893/4.
He had a brother Thomas killed in WW!.
Their Father Thomas was an Iron Turner by trade he had 3 brothers I think their names are Josephe, John and I am not sure of the other brother. They lived around the Marsh lane area of Preston and I believe were involved in the building trade.
Richard married just before ww1 to a Mary Brett. They had 5 children after the war, some names are mary, Thomas, will have to dig out my old notes I do thave all the names. I am trying to get back into this after a long break.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have more names on my Turner side now.

My Grandad was Richard Turner, his brother was Thomas Turner killed in WW1. Their parents were Thomas & Margaret Turner, we think Margarets maiden name is Kelsall. They had sons names Thomas, John, James, Joseph, William and I think possibly a daughter named Alice.

My Grandad Richard had children from his marriage to Mary Brett Thomas, Clara, Mary, margaret, Elsie

If any of these names match please drop me a line.
