MATILDA JANE TURNER So far I can only be certain that Matilda was born in LOWER GORNAL, DUDLEY, STAFFS in c1862. She married SAMUEL PUGH in 1883 and had at least 4 children; ANNIE ETHEL (1885) SARAH GERTRUDE (c1887) JOSEPH LEONARD (c1888) SAMUEL JAMES (1891) From marriage they lived out their lives in UPPER GORNAL,STAFFS. As far as we know, Matilda's family were the owners of a couple of farms in the area, and had something to do with the naming of Turner Street. Would be grateful of any information at all, however slight it may be. Regards Sarah |
