Trying to find any info oN TURNER FAMILY from Barrow in Furness, Lancashire. Joseph born 1879, Enoch born 1875, John born 1870 Hannah born 1867 and Sarah Jane born 1872. Sarah Jane married David William Butler CLARK and had a child ELLEN ELIZABETH CLARK 20/.8/ 1892 (my biological grandmother). Sarah Jane (my great grandmother) was the brother of Joseph Turner. Joseph and his wife Esther Ann Walker adopted (legally or not I am not sure) my mother LILY PARKER CLARK born 25/9/1911. She did not know she wasn't a Turner until she applied for her birth certificate to get married in 1942. Her b/c shows her father as a blank. |
