Trying to find Turner

Hello Does anyone have any information on the Turner family of Didsbury, Lancashire? I am looking for information relating to an Emily Turner (born c1855.) who married Henry Jones (born c1848) in Manchester pre 1883. Emily and Henry went on to have at least 7 children (Polly, Harry, Henry, Charles William, Lilly, Minnie and Emily). Emily Turner is my GG Grandmother. The story is that she was thrown out of home at the age of 17 because she fell in love with Henry Jones - her family felt he was beneath her social standing (whatever that may have been!!!). Henry was a 'Master Tiler' and had, so the story goes...received his training in Italy. (He later became a raving alcoholic - like ya do!!! - and died in what is now known as Withington Hospital, Manchester). On the 1881 census Henry and Emily were living at 25 Hill Street, Hulme, Lancashire. Two of their children are reported as being born in Leeds. I can find absolutely no trace of a Turner family in Didsbury, but am hoping someone somewhere may solve a long standing mystery for me, and particularly my mother!! Many thanks for any information.
