Is there anyone out there descended from a Turner family in the Romford/ Ilford area of Essex. I'm looking for Clara Caroline Turner b.1899 married Leslie p Whiteside, they had a daughter called Pat. Also Florence R Turner, she married Edwin Loader in 1917, and Marjory Turner who I think did marry. Their sister was my grandmother, Phyllis Ellen Turner. My grandmother died in 1942, when my mother was only 18 months old, and her father a couple of years later. My mother lost touch with all her aunts and cousins after her father died, and knows little about her mother . If anyone out there has any information, please get in touch. The Turners were liscienced victuallers. Phyllis Ellen married Ian Roberts, and they ran a pub 'the park estate tavern' in Woolwich. The Turner girls parents were Frederick and Clara Turner (nee Binks) |
