I am trying to find records about my great grandfather Henry James Turner. He was born about 1884 somewhere in London. He always said he was born within the sound of bow bells which made him a true cockney but we are not sure how true that is! He also may have been of jewish origin. He died approx 1964. He went on to work as an auctioneer, silversmith and furniture maker. At some point he may have moved to Bury St Edmunds and then onto Northampton where he had a shop on abington street. He married Florence and they had 3 children that we know of, Henry James (Jnr), Florence (my nan) and Vera. He had a sister called Rose, who married Bert who was a covent garden market trader. There may also be a link to Caroline Bradley (the showjumper) somehwere in this line. Any help with more info would be gratefully received.
