TURNER, Melbourne Australia. My Great Gran was born 'Grace Eliza TURNER Sellars' in South Melbourne in 1891. She was always known as 'Gran Turner' by my family. Her parents were Andrew & Sarah SELLARS. Grace had 6 siblings, all of which but two, had a different last name to hers, but Sarah was the mother to all. Sarah's maiden name was PERRIN, but my family is not sure how the name 'Turner' came about. Grace's siblings were Sarah Phoebe Perrin, Francis Amelia Perrin (known as Amelia), Charles Henry Alderman Sellars, Elsie Violet Sellars, Edith Emily TURNER & William John TURNER Sellars. All were born in inner city Melbourne between 1878 & 1898. Andrew was listed as the father only to Grace with Edith's father listed as John Timy (possibly short for Timothy). All other children had fathers listed as unknown. Would love to hear from anyone that has a connection to any of Graces siblings! |
