HI! Anyone with information on my grandfather Walter Herbert Turner born in the Manse, The Lye, Dudley around 1889 out of wedlock to Helen Turner by the son of the house where she was in service. We believe she was taken in by her uncle (possibly her mother's brother) who was a baptist minister also called Walter. She then married ??? "Brettle" and had 6 more children Alice Adams, Ivor, Ruth Brimble, Edith Pavett, Florence Lewis and Edgar they had 12 children between them. Alice was due to travel on the Titanic but changed her mind at the last minute!! |
