Does any one know of Michael Turner 1864 Whitehaven. I think Michael Turner c1864 married Marian Haliday c1860 they had five sons Robert c1887,Frank c1890,James c1894, Edward c1897, Alfred c1900. I think he was born in Cleator Moor Cumberland. I want to know if his wife was Marian Haliday.

Hi Mary. I am not connected but had a look for you.
I see that you have now been given the Marriage details for Marian Halliday.
If you get a copy of this certificate it will give their ages, their Father's names and occupations and witnesses who may be siblings.

With the Father's name for Marioan you can confirm or deny the Father as being George. If so then the following 1881 census should apply.

9 Union St or Terr. Whitehaven.
George. 59. Widower. Travelling Draper. Born Whitehaven.
Marian. 20. dau. Dressmaker.born Whitehaven.

Birth of Marian, I think, but needs checking.
1860. April/June Qtr. reg in Whitehaven. vol 10b 520.

Death of George. aged 67. 1889 (Birth c 1822) Reg in Whitehaven. vol 10b 402.

1901 census
Michael Turner. 1761. Born Cleator Moor. Dock Lab.
Marian. 1861. 40. Born Whitehaven
Robert. 14. 1887 Born Whitehaven
Frank. 11. 1890 Born Whitehaven
James. 7. 1894. Born Whitehaven
Edward. 4. 1897. Born Whitehaven
Alfred. 10months. Born Whitehaven.
