Two active researchers in the US have links back to many Wadleys in the Welland and Birtsmorton areas of Worcestershire. We are trying to see if our lines are linked. One line is descended from William Wadley born about 1747 in Welland and buried there in 1830. He married Betty. They had a son Boaz Wadley who married Maria Spilsbury. Their son George emigrated to the USA.

See http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=DESC&db=2443186&id=I1117 for more info.

The other line that we are trying to link in goes back so far to John Wadley born abt 1787 who married Anne Jakeman born abt 1793. Their children included Betty, Martha, George, Adelaide, Enoch, Caroline and Olive (Olliff) all born during the years 1812 to 1837.

If anyone can add anything to either of these histories, or help see if there is a connection between the lines please do post your thoughts. Many thanks.
