Member Since: August 2006 Posts: 31 Send Message	I am trying to find Caroline Walker born c1867. She was born (according to census) in Barking and her father was called Edward. On her marriage certificate (to James Day) in September 1887 she was living in Grays, Essex. Her father is listed as a Bricklayer. I can not trace her or her family prior to her marriage and wondered if anyone had any ideas

	Hi, There is on the 1901 census the following James Walker (alt. name Day) born HIgh Easter Essex a general labourer age 36 Caroline Walker (alt name day) born Barking age 33 Thomas 16 born Romford Henry 13 born Grays Caroline 11 born Grays Mary A 9 born Barking Edith age 7 born Barking Charles age 4 born Barking Florrie age 1 born Barking Living 14, Clifton Road East Ham London E6 but the reg office is Barking Essex. Why she is reg under Walker with the alt. name of Day both for her and James and the family, I do not know but I come from Barking and live in Romford they are very close I will see what I can find out from local records, as according to other records on ancestry the family were reg. under the wife's maiden name, also Henry their son is reg as James Henry
