I am trying to find more details on Frederick William Walker - I believe he was born 25-09-1864 in Slough Berkshire. He was married to Eliza Blackford who was born in Tring Herts. I think his Dad was called Thomas and his Mum was Emma Holmes. He had 4 children - Robert (1880), Ellen (1890 - Stoke Mandeville) Alice (1888) and my Great Great Grandfather Frederick James (1886 - Chesham Bucks). |

I'm sorry people take it personally when replying to individuals on their account and not on the thread as its the first time i've used this way wasnt sure there was a set procedure but obviously to some people there is so wont be using this way again!!!! |

If they did have robert 1880 then fred would have only been 15 and that will be why they had to wait till he was 21 to marry i.e 1885. |

Yeah that would be my tree ... just noticed that i hadnt updated my tree on here but i had on there ... sorry for wasting your time but thank you for the extra information about why they would have had to wait to get married. |

I was looking on this tree and had only written back to Frederick William Walker but on Ancestry i had gone back further but not updated this tree. My own fault for having 2 trees and remembering to keep them both updated. |

Yeah i've been doing this on/off for about 5 yrs now and when i feel like i've hit a brick wall, i walk away from it for a little bit and then come back to it, in the hope that i will pick up on something i didnt see before but i get out of practice of what i have to keep notes of and add it to where. My family seems to be quite big but on my dad's side it seems to be quite difficult to find. His dad's dad's side and his mum's mum's side (if that makes sense!) no one seems to have heard of (and that includes family members i've asked!) ha ha. But thanks for the help so far even though think i may have picked wrong side and will need to do a new thread ! Oops |
