I am trying to locate any family relted to my G Grandmother Jane WALKER born Belfast 22/08/1840. Jane, third child of John & Elizabeth WALKER Belfast Jane married ......... Clarke and had a child. Sadly husband and child both died in an epidemic. To help get over her loss Jane sailed in 1875 on the Carisbrook Castle with her best friend Lizzie BURNS to New Zealand. There in 1876 she married my G.Grandfather Robert Henry Wilson POWER. We still have Jane's bible which provides us with birth dates for herself and siblings, they are as follows: Joseph WALKER born Belfast 29/12/1835 Eliza WALKER born Belfast 18/03/1838 Jane WALKER born Belfast 22/08/1840 Mary WALKER born Belfast 02/01/1843 Samuel WALKER born Belfast 22/11/1845 Hopefully this information might tie in with another WALKER family, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
