Trying to find Kathleen Violet Ward, b1903-2004, she married William Cardwell at St Mathews Church, Moorfields 16/04/1930, Any information would be great

Mandy - what do you want to know? Do you have that marriage certificate to William Cardwell - that would give her fathers name and occupation and lead you back a generation through the census.

Her father was Frederick Ward 1866b and her mother was Alice, I believe her surname to be Butler, but I cannot find Alicia Butler who gave birth to a Kathleen Ward, so I think I may have got lost somewhere along the way

Presumably this is the marraige of Frederick and Alicia you are referring to

Thank you all for your help, I know it is a bit of a cheek, but as my mother said if you don`t ask you don`t get, but I wonder if anyone could find out the parents of Alicia Charlotte Butler and Frederick Ward

No problem but I can't see reasonably certain ones with their parents - I think the way forward would be to buy their marraige cert which would give their parents. I wonder if Alicia was older than she gave in 1901 as there are two births for Alicia C Butler's in 1866
