I'm trying to find any info on the following brothers:

John William Ward born Dartmouth, Devon 25/7/1864. Living in Everton on the 1871 Census with father (John Ward: born Exeter, Devon 1839, died Everton 1879), mother (Susan Ward [nee Hurd] born Bruton, Somerset 1840, died Preston 1907) and sisters Annie Blanche & Florence Emily. On the 1881 Census he is down as a Tinman Apprentice, born Dartmouth Kent (??!!!??). I have nothing after this.

He is NOT the John William Ward who died in Prescot, St. Helens in 1896.

George Ward born Everton 21/1/1872. He is living with his mother & siblings on the 1881 Census. I may have him on the 1891 Census as a General Labourer, living 78 Leadenhall St. Everton.

He is NOT the George Ward on the 1901 Census with a wife, Mary Ellen (nee Flaherty) and 3 children.

Samuel Ward born Everton 6/11/1874. Living with mother & siblings on the 1881 Census. Possibly have him on the 1891 Census living in Toxteth Park & working as a 17 year old Port Shop Lad. Nothing after this.

He is NOT the Samuel Ward who married Agnes McKnight in 1898 and lived in Kirkdale.

Charles Gilbert Ward born Everton 1876. With mother & siblings on the 1881 Census. Nothing on the 1891 Census. He's an Electric Tram Guard, living 46 Greenwood Street, Everton on the 1901 Census. George married Ellen Jones, West Derby Register Office 21/10/1901.

If you know anything else about these brothers I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks,

Simon

Hi Ellen,

Sorry, no William. This Ward family moved to Liverpool around 1870.

I don't know where it leads but LancsBMD has Liebenhentz and Ward as the same person - and they/he married Elizabeth Holmes!

HOLMES Elizabeth Liverpool 8b 174
LIEBEHENTZ George Augustus Liverpool 8b 174
WARD George Augustus Liverpool 8b 174
