Hi i1m trying to find out about the family of Walter Ward who was born to Ellen Ward in 1897 in London. She was unmarried, on the 1901 census Walter is down as the son of Charles and Bessie Ward. family strories say that Walter was named after a realtion who was in the funeral bussiness in London. What happened to Ellen did she die was Charles and Bessie the grandparents and not the parents any help to try and get any further with this family would be great. Charles was born about 1856 bermondsey and Bessie was born 1857.

Yes i have walter birth cert and it gives his mother as Ellen Ward no father given,
