Please can anyone move me on with this one.
Henry Richard Ward 14/4/1876 ( Islington) - parents listed as Henry Ward and Eliza Ward ( formerly Dunbar). I cannot seem to get started and am unable to come up with any likely matches for the parents in the records. Listed as living at 10 Nelson Place Islington Father a carman whatever that may have been. And Eliza I presume could not read or write as she simply marked a cross on the bith certificate as her signature.

Can you tell me where you manage to find the info ?

Closest I can find is an Eliza Dunbar married Henry Haggett Prior in 1868 in Shoreditch and then an Eliza Prior married Henry Ward in 1874 Islington.

Is Eliza Prior on the 1871 census?

No I have tried the census for 1871 and cannot find Eliza. They seem to be very elusive except for their marriages.

I reckon this could be a possible for Eliza in 1851, City Road is a stone's throw from Nelson Place in Islington:
