Ward / Nolan Families in Cleator Moor, nr Whitehaven, Cumbria. I am currently trying to trace my Grandfathers parents families. My Grandad was Francis Ward born 1920 in Cleator Moor near Whitehaven, Cumbria. I believe he was 1 of at least 9 children, known details are :- Julia 1914 Michael 1917 Ann 1918 Francis 1920 Ellen 1922 John 1925 Mary 1926 James 1928 Esther 1931 I think the Parents (my great grandparents) were Francis & Ellen Ward (nee Nolan) who they were married in 1914. Francis Ward was born 1884 and Ellen Nolan was born 1893. Both were born and married in Cleator Moor. There are many entries in the BMD Index for both surnames in Whitehaven registry however I cannot find the parents names so have so far been unable to identify parents and siblings. If anybody has any ideas or suggestions on to progress please let me know. |
