I am trying to find out information about Ann Maria Ward. Marriage certificate to William Savage (1867) states that her father's name was John Ward and that she was from Gawler River, South Australia. Witness on the marriage certificate is Mary Ward. However, a birth certificate sourced from the BDM in South Australia for Ann Maria Ward born in 1849 lists her parents as Richard Ward and Elizabeth Fannam. If anybody knows whether the latter Ann Maria Ward is the same one that married William Savage in Magill, South Australia on 12 Feb 1867, I would appreciate being able to clarify this. William and Ann Maria went on to have about 9 children, including my great grandmother, Margaret Susannah. |
