I'm trying to find any information on my fathers family of Ward. He was called Sydney (worked as a lorry driver in a scrap yard) and he had a older half brother called John (he was a insurance man and lived at Billericary)and a younger brother called George(might be his middle name) and a sister? His father (John Henry, down as a tiler on my parents marriage certificate) died during the war of old age I think, whilst my father was on active service (BURMA) having joined up underage (I think he was about 14).George had 2 boys by 1967. Everything is rather vague as I was 6/7 when my father spoke of this. If anyone can help it would be great as I am stuck on this side of the family not knowing any grandparents . My father was living in Essex when he married my mother June Fisher in 1959. I think he came from here but am stuck with what year he was born. if any one knows a George to contact me, I have tried a number on this site and no luck so far. We moved to Cornwall in the 60's. |
